U.S. Casino Rentals LLC and other companies of the owner are seeking an experienced junior level accounting individual to join our accounting and finance team. The candidate in this role will be responsible for the daily financial operations of the accounting department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting, significant attention to detail and be able to work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate must have the ability to accurately and efficiently process accounts payable & receivables, reconcile ledger accounts, manage financial transactions and work with the accounting assistant.

Responsibilities in one or more of the companies:
· Process accounts payable and receivables in a timely manner
· Daily reconciliation of the QuickBooks checking account balances to the bank
· Daily reconciliation of company credit card balances; if missing receipts, record transactions and notify manager of missing receipts. Update transaction once receipts are provided.
· Monitor the timely payment of vendor invoices
· Process bank deposits (by either scan or taking them to the bank)
· Maintain daily Google sheet file of QuickBooks balances in all bank accounts by company
· File and record monthly amusement tax to the City of Chicago (one company)
· Perform monthly bank and credit card statement reconciliations in all companies
· Manage, review and record weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing with the accounting assistant.
· Ensure all payroll and personnel records are accurate and up to date
· Reconcile specific general ledger accounts for accuracy
· Prepare monthly financial statements in a timely manner
· Prepare quarterly financial statements
· Review specific balance sheet accounts to ensure specific accounts are addressed
· Perform any other duties as assigned
Position: Full Time- Monday- Friday (in office Palatine, IL)
Benefits: 401k matching; Paid time off earned after 90 days probationary period
Compensation: $30 hourly, may be adjusted for level of experience; Review after 90 days
Requirements:
· Proficient use of Microsoft products like Excel and Word
· Strong written communication skills, especially grammar and sentence clarity
· Comprehensive experience and/or education of accounting principles to include cost accounting and the accrual method
· Must be very detailed oriented to recognize discrepancies in complex financial settings
· Must be able to effectively organize and prioritize tasks
· Previous QuickBooks Online and Quickbooks Desktop experience strongly preferred; if no experience with QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Desktop, must be able to grasp the basics very quickly.
· Previous experience of 1-2 years in an entry level accounting or finance position preferred; recent graduates may apply relevant internship experience towards their experience here
· Preferred candidates should possess an accounting degree and have graduated with a very strong academic record; a minimum of a 3.5 grade point average is preferred
