Summary:
Perform precision drilling, reaming, installation, and removal of components in critical structural areas, including blind holes.
Apply sealants, paint, and preservation materials in accordance with standard repair procedures.
Interpret engineering drawings, technical orders, and specifications to complete structural repairs and modifications.
Use tooling assemblies and fixtures to support depot-level structural modifications.
Requirements:
Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience performing heavy structural work on aircraft (depending on location).
Skilled in aircraft structural repairs, modifications, and interpreting technical documentation.
Proficient with aircraft tools, schematics, and repair procedures.
Must be able to obtain customer approval for aircraft access (note: dual citizenship may restrict access).
Physically able to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Comfortable working at heights and using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Must pass visual acuity and color perception tests.
Must pass plate test
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR regulations.
Desired Skills:
FAA Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) certification is a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical components, including sheet metal and structural systems.
Familiarity with accessing and managing digital work instructions and parts requisitions.
Experience operating specialized tools (e.g., torque wrenches, micrometers) and ground support equipment (e.g., cranes, forklifts).
Capable of mentoring and guiding junior technicians during maintenance and modification activities.
