Job Description

The Aircraft Worker is responsible for support of highly sensitive HQ USAF operational plans and safe air transportation for Cabinet Members, senior military leaders, and visiting foreign dignitaries. **Essential Responsibilities:** + Perform aircraft detailing and polishing to the SAM FOX standard. + Must be meticulous and thorough in your work, following proper procedures and using the right tools and products for each task. + Aircraft Workers will be able to work at heights and should be comfortable reaching, bending, and must have a great sense of attention to detail. + Must be able to operate JLG, genies, and support equipment. Work can be repetitive and working outdoors in inclement weather sometimes is required. + Will assist with towing aircraft and ground handling as needed. + Must operate ground support equipment and use hand tools, special tools, and fixtures as required. + Must practice good housekeeping, tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety at all times. + Must be able to work, day shift, second shift, night shift, and/or weekend shift as required. + Must maintain disinfection qualifications to perform required tasks. + Could receive cross utilization training (CUT) in other maintenance tasks associated within classification. **Minimum Qualifications:** + A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. + A working knowledge of mechanical tools and aircraft safety is required. + Must be capable of operating portable fire-fighting equipment. + Must be able to read and comprehend technical data. + Occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds is required. + Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. **Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain the clearance** . + Must be able to obtain and maintain a flightline driver's license. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Formal military or civilian aircraft maintenance training is preferred. **Compensation & Benefits:** + HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $41.49 + This position includes a competitive benefits package.
