Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team, where you will play a key role in supporting our safety and quality plans. You will contribute to creating an injury-free environment and promote diversity and inclusion within the organization. This position involves completing mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities, developing budgetary estimates, and assisting in the preconstruction process.
Responsibilities
+ Complete entry-level and routine mechanical, electrical, and field construction activities.
+ Learn to develop budgetary mechanical/electrical estimates using automated systems.
+ Assist in reviewing mechanical and electrical options during the preconstruction process.
+ Complete systems analysis for select projects.
+ Develop mechanical and electrical scopes of work for bid coordination.
+ Assist in bid analysis and provide input during subcontractor selection.
+ Develop sequencing requirements of various systems to meet schedule requirements.
+ Identify potential quality problems in design documents and assist in constructability reviews.
+ Perform job inspections to ensure specifications and expectations are met.
+ Assist with the shop drawing/submittal process to comply with contract documents.
+ Participate in commissioning processes, developing checklists, and performing functional tests.
+ Lead, support, and promote a culture of diversity and inclusion.
Essential Skills
+ Ability to perform work accurately and in a timely manner.
+ Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
+ Proficiency in MS Office.
+ Ability to read and understand plans, drawings, and specifications.
+ Knowledge of construction management means and methods.
+ Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, architectural engineering, or related field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of construction and/or engineering experience is preferred.
+ Experience as a Mechanical Engineer focusing on HVAC.
+ Experience with healthcare or similar projects, construction, AutoCAD, and Revit.
+ Ability to build relationships and collaborate within a team.
Work Environment
The work will be conducted onsite at the project location in Fort Worth, Texas. The role involves working with technologies such as Revit and AutoCAD in a dynamic construction environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dallas, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $77.00/hr.
