Job Description

Responsibilities + Perform CAD work for 60-70% of the day using AutoCAD and Solidworks for design and modifications. + Engage in reverse engineering of finished parts to improve and optimize designs. + Develop production fixturing drawings and collaborate with quality and production teams to ensure feasibility and functionality. + Provide manufacturing support by creating new drawings when machinery issues arise. + Work collaboratively with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve drawing issues as they occur. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Design/CAD. + 1-2 years of experience in the CAD drafting industry is preferred, but entry-level candidates will be considered. + Proficiency in Solidworks for parts and complex assemblies. + Expertise in AutoCAD/Draftsight, particularly with layered manufacturing operations. + Strong mechanical inclination and passion for the automotive industry. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prospect Heights, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $27.00/hr.
