The Opportunity:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. This entry-level position will be responsible for providing clinical assistance to our physicians and nurses in the medical office setting.
Job Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and check them in, manage and update patient records and files, schedule appointments, and provide medical office administrative support.
- Assist in minor procedures, take vital signs, review medical history, and prepare examination rooms prior to patient visits.
- Assist in minimally invasive therapies.
- Chronic care management.
- Answer phones, respond to patient calls and emails, and direct patients to appropriate resources.
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in medical assisting from an accredited school.
- At least three years of medical office experience.
- Current CPR certification and medical terminology knowledge.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems.
- In-depth knowledge of medical coding.
- Current License from State Board of Clinical Laboratory Science.
- Experience in a fast-paced medical office.
- Bilingual – English and Spanish.
