Are you a compassionate RN with a passion for patient education and dialysis care? We’re looking for an experienced Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) Training Nurse to join our Rockford-based team. In this critical role, you’ll guide patients through the PD process, offering hands-on training, support, and clinical expertise that transforms lives.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one and group training to patients initiating peritoneal dialysis.
Educate patients and caregivers on home dialysis procedures, infection prevention, and equipment use.
Monitor patients’ progress and collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams.
Ensure compliance with clinical policies and regulatory standards.
Document patient interactions and training outcomes accurately and promptly.
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois.
Minimum of 6 months of hands-on peritoneal dialysis experience .
Proven experience in PD patient training .
Strong communication and patient-teaching skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
