BlueFire Med is a patient-centered direct primary care clinic located in Manhattan, KS, dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized healthcare. Our clinic is a membership-based model which allows us to see patients without the interference from insurance. Our patients can still use insurance for everything else, but this model allow them better access to us, more time with us, and more freedom to provide care via office, phone, email, and text as appropriate. We focus on maintaining a low patient volume to ensure each individual receives the care and attention they deserve. Our practice emphasizes strong patient-provider relationships, preventive care, and convenient access to health services.

Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. As a key member of the BlueFire Med team, you will work closely with our physician to provide comprehensive primary care services. This role offers an excellent work-life balance with a 4-day work week. The average patient volume is intentionally kept between 4-8 patients per day, allowing ample time to offer high-quality, personalized care.

Start Date : January or February 2026

Key Responsibilities :

• Deliver direct patient care to a diverse population, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of acute and chronic health conditions.
• Perform routine check-ups, health-risk assessments, and urgent care as needed.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies.
• Participate in a shared call schedule with 2 other providers. Call is fairly quiet, with the norm being no messages after hours up to 1-2 calls at most for advice on the weekend.

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in primary care and/or urgent care settings.
• Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Kansas (or ability to obtain licensure by start date).
• Strong diagnostic skills, excellent communication, and a patient-first approach to care.

Compensation & Benefits :

• Starting hourly rate of $55/hour , with the potential to eventually earn up to $150,000/year based on incentives.
• Work a flexible schedule of 4 days per week , 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Low patient volume (4-8 patients per day ), allowing for high-quality patient care and a manageable workload.
