Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery / Mother–Baby (CWR)

Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM
Hours/Week: 36 (3×12-hour shifts)
Weekend Requirement: Every third weekend
Holiday Requirement: None
On-Call: 1 per contract
Float Requirement: Mother–Baby
A Labor & Delivery/Mother–Baby unit is seeking an experienced RN to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for obstetric patients. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and adherence to evidence-based nursing standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssess and evaluate patients, identifying needs and determining priorities for care
Develop, implement, and coordinate individualized plans of care based on ongoing assessments
Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage overall patient care
Assist physicians with procedures and support the patient throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum care
Document nursing care according to standards of practice and unit guidelines
Advocate for and support evidence-based practice and innovations in care delivery
Provide compassionate, patient-centric care consistent with professional nursing models
Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum 1+ year of experience in a related specialty (L&D / Mother–Baby)
Strong clinical assessment and patient-management skills
Required: ASN
Preferred: BSN
Required:
BLS (AHA)
NRP
Active NJ RN license or Compact RN license
Preferred:
ACLS
Advanced AWHONN or EFM
NCC certification
Required hard skills: BSN (for facility preference), NRP, RELIAS ACLS, Mother–Baby experience
Required soft skills: Strong communication, adaptability, and patient-centered approach
Scrub Color: Unit-issued green scrubs
