We are assisting in their search for a Commercial Contracts Counsel to join their legal team on a contract basis, working fully remote. About the Role The Commercial Contracts Counsel will play a pivotal role in the legal team, managing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements to support the organization's operational and strategic goals. In this fully remote position, you will ensure contracts align with the company's values of quality manufacturing, customer satisfaction, and environmental responsibility. Key Responsibilities + Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including supply agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, licensing agreements, and service contracts. + Provide legal advice and risk mitigation related to contract law and general corporate policies. + Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align legal contracts with corporate objectives, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. + Build and maintain processes to streamline contracting practices, focusing on efficiency and continuous improvement. + Offer guidance on contract-related disputes, conflict resolution, and interpretation of key terms to drive business objectives. + Support initiatives related to corporate governance, environmental standards, and process improvement within the organization. Requirements Qualifications + Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction. + Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of experience managing commercial contracts within a corporate or law firm environment. Experience in the manufacturing industry or similar is highly preferred. + Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders at all levels. + Familiarity with compliance concepts, corporate governance, and practices that promote environmental sustainability will be an advantage. + Excellent written and oral communication skills with high attention to detail.
