Job Description

Salary: $90,000 - 120,000 per year Requirements:

  • I am seeking a candidate with at least 3 years of experience in developing with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and/or other Microsoft 365 tools, with a strong focus on the Power Platform.
  • The ideal applicant will have experience in SharePoint administration and permissions management.
  • Previous work in a DoD IT environment is essential.
  • Strong communication skills are critical, as you will need to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required; however, a Bachelor's degree or higher is preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship and a DoD Secret Security Clearance are mandatory, with a Top Secret clearance preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • I will ask you to develop and maintain custom solutions, sites, lists, and libraries using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, SharePoint, and other Microsoft 365 resources.
  • You will customize SharePoint Online workflows, including forms.
  • You will understand and implement SharePoint Online security and permissions in a Navy-wide setting, ensuring our 4,000 users are isolated from the larger environment of 500,000 users.
  • I need you to build and support Power Apps and Power Automate flows to manipulate SharePoint data for applications across the lab.
  • You will hold meetings with key stakeholders to interpret requirements and analyze how technology can best support and enhance daily business processes.
  • Understanding the business's collaboration, workflow, data, and document management requirements and opportunities will be crucial.
  • You will collaborate with colleagues while managing multiple projects.
  • Setting development project timelines, managing stakeholder expectations, and providing timely updates will also be part of your job.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to assigned software technologies will be expected.

We are looking for a SharePoint Developer to join our exceptional team supporting world-class science and technology at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). You will be part of a growing team tasked with building new functionalities on SharePoint Online and Office 365 across both unclassified and classified networks for various sites throughout the U.S. This position will primarily be on-site at our Washington, DC location, but we anticipate a hybrid work schedule going forward, requiring you to be present three days a week at the laboratory.
