Who You Are:

We are seeking a candidate with a strong positive attitude towards customer service to act as a Certified Medication Technician for our Assisted Living and Memory Care building. This person will have a genuine interest in geriatric. The right candidate will always strive to do the best job possible, to be creative and to work towards accomplishing facility goals.

Responsibilities:

• Safely prepares and administers oral and topical drugs as prescribed by a physician and
• consistent with FV medication administration protocols.
• Records administration of the medication on the resident’s medication administration record.
• Reports medication errors or reactions to medications immediately to the charge nurse.
• Reports and records observations and results of treatments, tests, procedures, and specimens
• when indicated.
• Performs accurate pulse and blood pressure and recognizes their significance in drug therapy.
• Provides support with Activities of Daily Living as assigned safely and consistently with
• FV policies and procedures. Documents all tasks completed.
• Contributes to resident safety by identifying safety hazards and emergencies and
• initiates corrective action as appropriate.

Requirements:

• Successful completion of State approved Medication Technician Course.
• High School or GED Degree required.
• Active CMT License.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to document care given.
