**WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH** The Designer II accessories color designer will collaborate with the Design Triad, consisting of Product Design, Color, Graphics/Print. Layering in Product Line Managers, Merchandising, Color/Material/Trim Development, and Technical Development. **WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR** We are looking for a talented designer, who has a deep passion for evolving the world of sport through creative expression to help create the future of Nike Accessories - Bags, Socks, Headwear, and Equipment. A designer who loves to collaborate and problem solve, who understands it's about "we not me". Someone who is flexible and can adapt quickly to changing priorities. + Portfolio with color application across collections and product categories + Bachelor's degree in design. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training. + Minimum 1-4 years of experience in a design environment working with materials, textiles and/or color trends. Ideally direct experience in accessories, footwear and apparel product creation process + Strong collaboration skills, including coordinating with multiple partners to ensure the accuracy of produced designs, and with other designers/design directors to create palettes based on category color strategy + Demonstrates a strong understanding of color technology at a detail level and how to achieve desired color effects: materials, dyes, finishes and color achievability + Ability to plan and execute the product color details and review all samples, troubleshoot for achievability issues and clearly communicate changes to ensure timely completion of each project + Skilled in presenting work in front of large group + Excellent written and verbal communication skills + Flexibility to work across multiple seasons and priorities at a time + Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop) and Keynote on a Mac Platform + Experience in 3D programs such as CLO is a plus + Passion for color and design **WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON** As a Color Designer II at Nike, you will be tasked with elevating the Nike product experience with a focus on both the art & science of color. In this role, you will drive an emotional connection to color for the athlete and sport, using strategy and storytelling. You will be responsible for translating seasonal creative direction into trend-relevant, sport-right, and consumer-right color across accessories. You will research and deliver on color, design, market, sport & lifestyle trends that influence and impact the product aesthetic, application, and consumer identities. This role requires a strong eye for color harmony, proportion, and balance within collections. As a color designer you will be implementing color application and strategy at the product and detail level, as well as a focus on technical skills in execution to achieve desired color effects: dyes, finishes and color achievability. This will require driving color excellence through collaboration with design, business, development and manufacturing.
