Schedule: Full-Time | 40 hours per week | 8-hour shifts | 5 days per week
The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. The nurse will collaborate with physicians, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and compassionate patient care before, during, and after procedures.
Key Responsibilities:Provide nursing support for interventional radiology procedures, including patient assessment, monitoring, and recovery.
Administer conscious sedation in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, and medication administration as needed.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and response to treatment throughout procedures.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care.
Adhere to all safety, infection control, and quality assurance guidelines.
Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience required.
Proficient in IV insertion and phlebotomy .
Experience administering conscious sedation .
Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond to emergency situations promptly.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verification required).
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required).
AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (required).
IV/Phlebotomy training and competency required.
