Job Title: Quality Manager

Location: Charlotte, NC

Schedule: Monday Friday

Pay Rate: $85000/yr

Position Overview

The Quality Manager will lead quality assurance and control efforts across a warehouse and kitting operation that supports manufacturing and final assembly. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems that ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, manufacturing-minded leader who partners closely with operations to embed quality into daily processes. This is a high-visibility role with meaningful impact and a clear path for leadership growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Oversight

Lead quality assurance and quality control activities within a warehouse and kitting environment.

Ensure quality standards are maintained across parts warehousing, kitting, and component shuttling to support assembly operations.

Identify risks and proactively implement controls to prevent defects and nonconformances.

Team Leadership & Development

Manage and develop a team of quality inspectors and quality analysts.

Foster a collaborative, fair, and accountable work environment with a strong floor presence.

Lead by example with flexibility and resilience, stepping in as needed to support operational demands.

Process Improvement & Problem Solving

Conduct root cause analysis for quality issues using structured methodologies.

Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives leveraging Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.

Inbound & Outbound Quality

Establish and execute quality inspection processes for inbound and outbound materials.

Ensure quality checks support smooth operations and prevent disruptions to manufacturing schedules.

KPI Management & Reporting

Establish, monitor, and enforce quality KPIs and performance metrics.

Analyze trends and performance data to identify improvement opportunities and sustain quality standards.

Evaluate processes for compliance with ISO or similar quality frameworks.

Audits, Compliance & Documentation

Plan and conduct internal quality audits.

Ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal quality requirements.

Maintain accurate documentation and records supporting the quality management system.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with operations and leadership teams to align quality initiatives with production goals.

Support rapid issue resolution through effective communication and cross-functional problem-solving.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required

Proven experience in a manufacturing or manufacturing-support environment.

Strong background in quality management, warehousing, inventory control, and kitting operations.

Experience leading quality teams in fast-paced operational settings.

Preferred:

Experience working within ISO-certified or ISO-aligned quality systems.

Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.



Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner closely with manufacturing teams to align kitting, inventory availability, and shipping schedules with production requirements.

Serve as a key operational partner to ensure alignment with customer and production goals.
