Senior Java Developer – Equities Trading Systems

MUST be local to New York City, Hybrid Schedule, at least 3 days onsite

Salary: up to $200k

We are looking for a 100% hands-on Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic trading technology team. This role requires deep expertise in Java development, familiarity with modern front-end tools, and a strong grasp of trading workflows, especially in equities and derivatives. You will work closely with traders, sales, and other business users in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-performance solutions to support front-to-back trading operations. Experience with market protocols, OMS platforms, and financial products is required.

Job Requirements

• Strong core Java development expertise with a proven hands-on approach.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Vue.js.
• Experience with Python is a plus.
• Good understanding of equities and equity derivatives products.
• Familiarity with trade flow processes and FIX protocol.
• Experience with Quod OMS is a bonus.
• Knowledge of Murex is a bonus.
• Exposure to quantitative finance, especially in volatility, is a plus.
• Strong academic background and/or substantial experience in the financial services industry.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with business users such as traders and sales teams.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Highly organized, self-driven, and eager to learn and grow professionally.
