As a Software Engineer Intern at Katalon, you will:

• Support the development and automation of our DevOps toolchain and cloud-native infrastructure

• Assist in optimizing our AWS environment, including EC2 Auto Scaling and EKS clusters

• Develop and maintain internal tools and scripts to improve deployment pipelines and infrastructure automation

• Collaborate with DevOps and Backend Engineers to implement scalable, maintainable, and observable systems

• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and troubleshooting for infrastructure-related issues

• Learn and experiment with modern technologies like Karpenter, OpenTelemetry, and the LGTM stack

Requirements

• Final-year student in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• Available full-time for at least 3 months
• Solid foundation in system administration, networking, and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, or similar)
• Familiarity with cloud services (especially AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of EKS, EC2 Auto Scaling, and AWS observability tools like CloudWatch 
• Experience with Java or other JVM-based technologies
• Knowledge about SRE practices and infrastructure-as-code
• Understanding of monitoring/logging stack (Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry)
• Ability to work independently or in a team, with strong problem-solving and self-learning skills
• Usable communication and collaboration skills in English
